A little backround…

Esty and Talya both grew up in Brooklyn New York in very religious communities, but had completely different experiences. Esty grew up Hassidic and Talya Orthodox. Two very different sects (types of Jewish styles of practice and tradition) of Judaism. Even so their love of fashion and creation, beauty and bridal fused together in their inspiration and in their designs to create something once you’ve seen, you’ll not soon forget. They wanted to create a collection of brides that each take your breathe away. Like you have never seen such beautiful brides. You can never recreate the icon but you can create iconic.

MEET ESTY

Esty Haas is a Hasidic Jewish, custom bridal gown titan from Williamsburg, New York. Esty was Born into a house of fashion designers, with a sewing machine practically on her lap. Given to her by one grandmother, while the other, also sewed and designed. Fashion isn’t just in her blood, its in her fingerprints. Esty started designing and creating immediately. Before long and as soon as she could, Esty opened up her own bridal atelier. Located in borough park, a massive hassidic hub in Brooklyn New York. That atelier 15 years later is now known as Haas Bridal. Over the years Esty has dressed thousands of Kallahs (Yiddish word for brides) from all over the world including Australia, Israel, Belgium, London, Canada, Spain, Ukraine, Vienna and more. This will be Haas Bridal’s first show.

The inspiration for this collection is historical, luxurious beauty. Pulling Baroque aspects from design, architecture and grandeur with a deco undertone of sensational sharpness and angularity. Each look forces you to think, in what century or decade did this bride come from? Each design is so expressive of these themes. Where one gown will take you to the Yew Tree ball at Versailles circa 1745 another will take you to a Hamptons soirée think 1920s. One or two brides later and you’ll have arrived at the Teatro Di San Carlo Italy in its 1800’s prime opening night for a ballet or an opera. You may be the patron or the main attraction. This collection is meant to make you feel greatness and to feel in the presence of greatness. With antique qualities like Edwardian lace and subtle corsetry, each bride tells a different story, yet one thing stays the same. Our wearer never waivers from being a romantic yet independent, head strong but weak in the knees for the exuberant and the ornate. Our bride guards their heart while simultaneously wearing it on their sleeve. Let us take you on a tour of histories finer fashion moments and find out how we incorporated them into our brides and bridal looks.
